Overview

Created a brand extension for a clothing company that pivoted from high fashion to medical scrubs.

Partnering with the executive team at Dolan, I was brought on to lead the design for a new clothing endeavor: medical scrubs. I curated a color palette inspired from the mountains of northern New Mexico and introduced playful organic shapes to differentiate their scrubs from the conventional medical attire. Drawing inspiration from outside the traditional sphere, the aim was to infuse personality, positivity, and flair into a typically clinical domain.

Guided by this vision, I delivered a visual identity suite encompassing package designs, inserts, label designs, clothing tags, and more. Each element was thoughtfully designed to reflect the brand’s ethos of individuality, doing good, and inclusivity. *Dolan runs a non-profit – The Laundry Truck LA, a free mobile laundry service. One purchase from Dolan equals 1lb of clean laundry for people experiencing homelessness.

Throughout the project, collaboration was key. Leveraging Zoom, we seamlessly exchanged ideas and made adjustments in real-time, ensuring that every aspect of the design resonated with the business objectives and the audience. We were able to complete this wonderful project in four weeks – from start to finish.

Reflecting on the design journey, one client remark stands out as a testament to our collaborative process: “It’s like I stuck my head in a pensieve.” This whimsical reference perfectly encapsulates the depth and immersion of our design journey, where we delved into the intricate layers of thought and creativity to bring ideas to life.
