From Global Brands to Mission Driven Start-ups
Natalie Hansen has held Executive Creative Director and Director of User Experience roles at CNET, CBSi, and Creative Director roles at Sony and Sega. She has also consulted with design firms such as Stamen Design, Saatchi & Saatchi, Digitas, and Publicis.
Most recently, Natalie spearheaded all design initiatives at Magnus Medical, a Stanford-developed medical device and novel technology start-up focused on improving mental health for people suffering from major depressive disorder (MDD). Prior to Magnus Medical, Natalie led product design at Presence Product Group where she designed complex product solutions for clients such as Vibrant Planet, Stanford National Accelerator Laboratory – Department of Energy, and the California Forest Observatory (now Planet Labs), among others.
Recent climate and human wellness projects have been featured in Bloomberg, Fast Company, TechCrunch, NPR, CBS, WSJ, KQED, and NBC News.
Mentoring & Growing Multidisciplinary Teams
Natalie has successfully built award-winning design teams from the ground up and has transformed existing teams into innovative and creative powerhouses by providing endless inspiration, inclusivity, and collaborative communication.
Natalie has served on the San Francisco board of AIGA as Interactive Chair and has presented several panel discussions about work-life-balance and the importance of creative side projects. She also volunteers with the San Francisco Unified School District – Public School Arts Program, focusing on social justice and climate change through design thinking and fine art. She has also served as an SFUSD Art Committee member.
